There's no reason not to love this super popular chocolate hazelnut spread.. Actually I don't think I've ever heard of anyone hating it (unless you have nut or chocolate allergy).. I could sit and devour the whole jar with a spoon as Nutella is pretty damn delicious on its own (Well, that's the case if I'm watching TV on my own.. LOL) or simply slab it on just about anything and it has that HUGE power to shake the world!

People are so obsessed and crazy with this simple form of happiness.. You name it from Nutella crepes, Nutella cakes, Nutella brownies, Nutella tarts, Nutella milkshakes, Nutella pudding, Nutella ice cream, Nutella pies and now Nutella Donuts.. You'll find it impossible to find a dessert or pastry or anything that can't be paired with Nutella~

Since we are still in the grip of a donut obsession.. Here are our 5 favourite spots in Sydney for all Nutella worshipper to fix your Nutella Donuts craving!

1. Pasticceria Papa - Haberfield, Five Docks and Bondi Beach

Whenever we visit Papa's store.. There are two things we always buy on top their delectable selection of treats, the famous Ricotta Cheesecake and Papa's Nutella Bombe

The name fits perfectly as this deliciously super soft and fluffy Italian donut cause a Nutella explosion inside your mouth with just one bite! Dusted with icing sugar and cocoa powder, only papa knows best how to turn this bombe ball into a crowd-pleaser! Be there early in the morning (or call and ask them to keep some aside) if you don't want to miss out as it's sold pretty quickly everyday..

2. Voglia Di Pane Fine Italian Bakery - Woodpark

Situated in Woodpark, this nice little shop with over than 10 years experience sells what seems to be the authentic Italian-style oven baked bakery.. They also specialise in homemade Italian Pizza with quite a range of flavours and toppings to choose from, but don't let it make you forget to check their other racks for some irresistible sweets treats!

I think I've just found the secret to happiness! Isn't it amazing how something as simple as eating this Nutella Mini Donut could make you so happy?  This donut is everything you imagine them to be with its chewy soft dough and generous Nutella filling.. They also sell a bigger and longer size for you if the mini one is simply not enough to satisfy your Nutella need..

Price: $1.5 for the mini one and $2.5 for the big one

Tuesday - Saturday 7am - 5pm

3. The Chef and The Barista - Neutral Bay

If you need a quick sugary fix on Sunday morning.. Head over to Neutral Bay and grab some of the famous Nutella Donuts from the team at The Chef and The Barista.. Be there early (or call to book some ahead) as these heavenly treats are so OOMPHazing so much they got listed by the Urbanlist Sydney as one of the best places in Sydney to get your donut fix..

Exercising self-restraint over this pillowy donut is so needed especially if you have a weakness for Nutella.. My eyes widened and it's just hard to stop once it floods your mouth with its heavenly gooey filling!

4. The Grounds of Alexandria - Alexandria

As soon as you step into the Grounds, the aroma of fresh donuts fills the air and you just know straight where to go while waiting for a table there.. From early morning to 4pm every Saturday and Sunday (3pm on Monday), you can get this super fluffy and airy nutella donuts fresh and warm!

5. Bertoni Casalinga - Balmain, CBD, Balmoral Beach

Ciambella Alla Nutella.. that's how they call it in Bertoni.. Fluffy soft and filled with Nutella, this fried donut is so airy light and it tastes every bit as melt in your mouth good as it looks! It's better to have it toasted (as per their recommendation, you can choose the un-toasted one if you want to) and you'll get the combination of crusty on the outside and warm melted Nutella on the inside..

Price: $6 each

Bertoni Farrer Place: Monday - Friday 6.30am - 5pm

Additional: Foodcraft Espresso - Erskineville

There is a need to include this place as their Nutella Ball Millshake went nuts on social media and people were losing their minds over it.. I went here around 10.30am on a Friday morning and the queue outside was already that long.. Inside was very busy and messy as they're overwhelmed by the crowds buzzing over their now-so-happening shake and Tella Ball..

The ball is quite dry and dense for my liking and the Nutella filling is not that much and inconsistent (the one I brought home for Mr. Nomnom had lesser filling than the one on this photo)..

Price: $4.50 each for the Tella Ball

Address:
33 Bridge Street, Erskineville
Opening Hours:
Tuesday - Friday 7am - 4pm and Saturday - Sunday 8am - 4pm

So, tell us below.. Where is your favourite Nutella Donut in Sydney?

  1. Such a devilishly dangerous post!!! I've heard good things about the Fine Italian Bakery... will have to get my butt there asap. I was inspired by the Foodscraft dough/shake and had to make one and the doughnuts for myself. Sounds like mine may have been better :)
