If you ask me what is my favourite cafe in Sydney? Cre Asion will be my first answer! A once a week visit has become a routine simply because I am a huge fan of matcha. Some people may dislike it for its bitter aftertaste but for me it's the bitter the better

Tucked away on quiet Alberta Street, this place has all the charm with its warm and friendly service, a small open kitchen with lingering aroma and the display cabinet filled with sweet and savory treat.

I know it can be difficult to locate especially for the first timer - but trust me follow your google map and it's well worth the effort! Inside can be quite cramped when it gets crowded especially during peak hours with couple of chairs around the same height as their small hexagonal tables and also a couple more seats outside (as long as it's not raining).

If you ask me what to drink - I'll definitely answer their Matcha Latte. Served hot or cold - it's the matter of your preference - you can taste the smooth, slightly nutty and refreshingly grassy taste of matcha and enjoy the beauty of this green goddess. Ask for less or no sugar if you don't want your matcha sweetened.

It's no secret that we all love chocolate tart and want to indulge in something rich, decadent and chocolatey every once in a while (or week in this case). Their Dark Chocolate Tart is velvety smooth, has a deep rich chocolate flavour with a subtle bitterness, and just perfect when you need a sugar hit to satisfy you inner chocoholic.

The latest addition to their sweet cabinet and definitely has gathered a group of loyal followers is this Matcha Swiss Roll. Cottony soft matcha sponge cake rolled with matcha cream, it's so soft and moist with clear matcha taste that you'll start thinking of getting a second portion after one bite.

Matcha and red bean go together like peanut butter and jelly. Delicious on its own but even better when paired together. Their Muffin is moist with a slightly crunchy top and the great depth of flavour comes from the combinaton of slight bitterness of matcha, the sweetness of red bean, and the slightly tangy, salty cream cheese.

Another crowd's favourite is this Matcha Chocolate Fondant because what's more satisfying that cutting into a nice, warm cake only to find it overflowing with gooey goodness! Not only delicious but it's also Instagram-worthy and simply fun.

The base is chocolate but I'm sure you can imagine the harmony of spongey chocolate cake, gooey matcha goodness mixed with the additional matcha cream sauce! It's a marriage of flavours and simply divine.

I heard they make their own Sourdough in house and this one is perfect if you need sweet toast to start your day. The toasted crusty sourdough will never go wrong when served with caramelised Fuji apple, ricotta cheese for an extra creaminess, and organic wild honey for extra sweetness.

When I tried Japanese Cheesecake with the very first bite, I have fallen in love with it ever since and Cre Asion's version has the similarity with its velvety smooth, creamy as well as the fluffy texture. It's not too sweet, yet enough to entertain your sweet tooth.

Fancy some healthy breakfast, get this House made crunchy Granola packed with all the fruits and nuts, and served with seasonal fresh fruits, mix berry compote and sheep's milk yoghurt.

Their Scramble Eggs are simply luscious with creamy, custard eggs that slip into your mouth. They spread like fluffy ricotta on toast and if I'm going to make scrambled eggs, this is how I am going (or at least trying) to do them. LOL!

This Chicken Sandwich is definitely my favourite! I'm glad they decided to bring it back to the menu. The poached chicken is moist and tender, the marinated mushroom is flavourful, and the wasabi mayo simply adds an extra layer of flavour and fanciness to the sandwich in overall.

Not a sandwich fan? You can also have it in the form of Salad with the same poached chicken and mushroom combination. It's another great way to eat more veggies right?

Cre Asion also does Sausage Roll but it's available weekdays only unfortunately. The puff pastry isn't that flaky more like a soft skin type, but the filling is juicy and flavoursome plus they add mushroom as a twist on classic sausage roll.

This photo is taken when they introduce Kinako Mochi as one of the new summer desserts. The current one is served in a glass with smaller mochi size (although I prefer the former version as you can really taste the strong nutty flavour) with smooth tea jelly, red beans, matcha granita and a little bit of kuromitsu sugar to sweeten the deal. It's refreshing, not too sweet and just perfect for the upcoming hot summer days.

Another summer dessert you can't miss is this Coconut Mousse. Served with toasted coconuts, mango, and tapioca pearls, this dish is so light and creamy with the subtle coconut taste and sweet combination of tropical flavour.
