Pacamara Boutique Coffee Roasters - Upper Thompson Road

I heard that Pacamara won the best cafe award not long after they opened back in 2014. The cafe itself is a collaboration between Oz Specialty Coffee and Thailand's famous Pacamara Coffee Roasters - bet it's okay to start raising your expectation =)

Situated along the Upper Thompson Road, this place is quite easy to be found judging from the crowd waiting for their tables (although we came after the peak lunch hours).

White-washed wall, concrete floor, minimalist decor, and one of the most important thing - high ceiling with lots of natural light - make this a great place with great vibes to spend the weekend with your gang. Sharing a table with other people is very much expected as this place only has communal tables.

I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means but their "White" Coffee is one of the nicest I've tried here in SG. Their roasted bean has that chocolaty flavor and the frothy milk is velvety smooth - simply a harmony of flavors in your cup.

Perfect with beans on the side, the Duck Confit is tender and full of flavor as it's cooked in its own fat. The Hash, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just perfect when you eat it with the luscious runny egg yolk on top.

From truffle fries, kimchi fries, here is another crowd's favorite - Chili Beef Fries! It might not look enticing from the outside, not the best one I've ever eaten, but it's quite comforting as a side the more you dig into it.

This one is my favorite! The Matcha Pancake is soft and fluffy with crisp edges. Served with adzuki bean paste and adzuki ice cream, the matcha flavor is quite subtle for my liking but the overall taste is quite satisfying. The thick and sweet vanilla sauce goes perfectly well with the fresh berries and simply raise the bar for breakfast pancake.
